EXTRACTION OF SANDALWOOD OIL
The most important part of sandalwood is the heart wood found mainly in its roots. The older the tree, the better the heartwood. For every extraction method the quality of the wood influences the quality of the final Sandalwood oil.
Today, sandalwood oil is extracted primarily by steam distillation, in which the overheated steam passes through the powdered wood. Steam then transports oil trapped in a cellular structure of wood. Once the steam has cooled down, we get Sandalwood hydrosol and Sandalwood oil.

SANDALWOOD OIL
Sandalwood Essential Oil is obtained from steam distillation of the heartwood of Sandalwood trees. The bark and sap wood are chipped away manually and the heartwood is pulverized before loading into the stills for cooking. We are priced competitively and can guarantee superior oil quality owing to traditional distillation techniques

SANDALWOOD POWDER
Sandalwood heartwood powder, also known as balloon powder, has an extremely fine and soft texture. It is used heavily in Ayurveda for its antiseptic, astringent, anti inflammatory and disinfectant properties. This product is gaining popularity as an ingredient in skin products and cosmetics for treating acne, rashes, eruptions, and for skin toning. Jain monks and nuns shower sandalwood powder on their disciples as blessings

HEARTWOOD LOGS & BILLETS
Sandalwood heartwood logs are used widely in Asia for carving. Billets are hand carved out of heartwood logs, and are sought after in India and the Middle East. In India, they are used in temples and homes to make sandalwood paste, which is integral to religious ceremonies. In the Middle Eastern culture, billets are used for Khumra, Mabkharah and in various Zar rituals.

SPENT/DE-OILED POWDER
Spent dust or de-oiled powder are the fine sandalwood chips left over after steam distillation for producing oil. Sandalwood spent dust is used for making incense and joss sticks, which are widely used in Indian, Chinese, Buddhist and Jewish cultures. In the Middle East, this de-oiled powder is used to make Bukhoor, which is used to perfume homes and shops
